Friends of HPCA

We are extremely grate to those who support the community centre. Their gifts make such a huge difference to those who hire the centre and live in the surrounding area. Thank you for your kind generosity.

Mr Peter Longworth

On 1st December 2011, Mr Peter Longworth (of Longworth and Taylor Estate Agents, Hale) generously donated hedging plants and enlisted a member of his workforce to prepare the ground for the new hedging to be installed. The new hedge will improve the appearance of the area along Humphrey Crescent and will provide a new boundary with environmental benefits over the fencing that it replaces.

On 1st December 2011, Mr Alan Dawson of Newcroft Nurseries (Urmston) generously donated bags of topsoil/compost for the new hedging. Alan's kind donation will help to ensure the new hedging has a good start in life and quickly become well established.

From 2008 to 2010, The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester provided a Grass Roots Grant which enabled us to enlist the help of a contract cleaner. This greatly improved the cleanliness of the centre and in turn increased it's use which has then allowed us to continue hiring the contractor ourselves in order to maintain a clean and safe environment.

In 2007, a National Lottery Award allowed a modern kitchen to be fitted.

Mr Ray Dale

In 2007, Ray Dale (Photographer and centre hirer) kindly donated some framed pictures which look fantastic hanging on the walls of the Committee Room. During his time at the centre, Ray also spent many a time carrying out various jobs that needed doing around the centre.
