Rooms are available for hire 7 days a week, 8am to 9.30pm.
Your bookings must be covered by at least £5,000,000 public liability insurance.
We can provide this via Trafford Council when hiring the centre for personal and/or non-profit making reasons. You must tell us if you require this. We may assume this to be the case when individuals make a personal booking, unless you tell us otherwise.
Non-profit organisations or groups can provide us with evidence of their own public liability insurance if they wish.
When using the centre for profit making commercial ventures, you will need to provide us with evidence of your own public liability insurance - this must be a document showing the organisation or personal name, any "trading as" name, dates of cover, and level of cover to at least £5m.
^Public liability insurance provided via Trafford Council is charged at an additional 10% of total room hire fees.
We can always accept bookings for parties and social gatherings from:
Associate Members of Humphrey Park Community Association.
Regular direct users of The Centre.
Organisations who will be coordinating the event, and have sufficient staff available to supervise the event successfully in a shared community centre space.
If you fit this criteria, please ensure you let us know in the additional information section of the booking enquiry form.
If the above doesn't apply to you, we may be able to accept your booking, however:
We will need to ensure a volunteer is available to supervise the event.
For safeguarding reasons, the booking can only be accepted when no other groups are using the Hall, Annexe and Committee Room.
Please note that alcohol, inflatable devices, naked flames, smoking and vaping are not permitted at The Centre.
There are plenty of chairs and folding tables which you can arrange to meet your needs (just remember to keep all fire exits clear).
Charis are stored in each of the rooms.
Please consult the centre plan below for the location of table stores.
There is no additional charge for the use of tables and chairs.
If you are hiring any one of our four rooms at The Centre, you also have access to the kitchen free of charge.
Kitchen facilities include a gas hob, electric oven, fridge, wall mounted drinking water heater for making hot drinks for larger groups, a normal kettle for smaller groups, and a hatch through to the Hall.
Please note: The kitchen is a shared space which you may need to share with other people using the centre at the same time; Regrettably, we are unable to book out the kitchen separately; Children are not permitted in the kitchen area.
We'd like The Centre to be accessible and used by all in the community. Here are the answers to the questions we have been asked regarding accessibility:
All rooms are on the ground floor.
Access to the centre is via the ramp at the main entrance porch.
In the event of an emergency, a ramp is available at the hall fire exit door closest to the stage - we advise that you make yourselves familiar with how this works if you think you might need it.
The entrance to all rooms is wide enough to allow for wheelchair access.
The accessible toilet is located on the main corridor, and is fitted with a National Key Scheme (RADAR) lock.
Of the 14 car parking spaces available, one is designated for the disabled.
Braille is provided on room name signs.
There is contrast between doors, walls and floors in order to make them easily distinguishable.
The halls in particular, benefit from plenty of natural light.
The car park is well lit at night during centre opening hours.
If there is anything else you need to know, or if you experience any accessibility issues, please do contact us to let us know.
